How to get a flat stomach?

While you cannot reduce fat only from your tummy, you can lose belly fat by decreasing your total body fat percentage. If you want a flat stomach, you'll have to perform weights training and high-intensity intervals at least three days per week. How can you achieve this? Indulge in full body exercises like squats, lunges, chest press, push-ups, pull-ups, jumping rope. You also have to work on your abdominal muscles three times in the week: crunches, leg raises and also, do planks. Eat natural foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, chicken, turkey, beef, fish and low fat dairy. To minimize water retention, lower your sodium intake. In order to lose body fat you also have to avoid stress. So, keep your cool and work out!

These type of exercises improve core stability, stretch and tone muscles and increase strength and flexibility for a leaner body. Because of its ability to target the entire core, the Swiss-ball crunch should be a must in your workout! Use these core-strength exercises to tone your core muscles, including abs, hips and lower back! Sit on a Swiss ball with your feet on the floor, shoulder-width apart. Walk your feet forward as you lie back on the ball, knees bent 90 degrees. Your lower back should feel like it's curved around the ball. Place your hands behind your ears, raise your chest up and slightly forward in a crunching motion.

Tip: do not pull on your neck to initiate the crunch!
